Gryphon Swimbait Bass Fishing Tournament 2025

Rules & Regulations

1. Eligibility & Entry

 

Entry requirement:  purchase a Gryphon Swimbait. 

 

All participants must enter by purchasing the Gryphon Swimbait from an authorized store:

The tournament is open to all anglers, regardless of location. Participants must agree to and follow all rules and local fishing regulations.

 

2. Tournament Duration

The tournament starts immediately upon purchasing the Gryphon Swimbait and ends on May 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM (PST).

Any catches recorded after this date will be disqualified.

3. Approved Equipment (For video recording and weighing)

Video Camera: Any action camera, GoPro, or phone camera may be used for recording.

Scale: A digital scale must be used for accurate weight measurement.

4. Video Submission Requirements

Video must be continuous: It must begin from casting, include the hookset, fight, landing the fish, unhooking, weighing, and showing the scale’s weight clearly.

  • NO EDITING IS ALLOWED: Any edited, cut, or tampered videos will be disqualified (upon discretion of the BBGT staff review of the video).

The Gryphon Swimbait must be clearly visible in the video before the catch is weighed.

The scale display must read zero on camera prior to weighing.

The scale display must be visible and legible on camera.

Video must be submitted via our designated platform:

1. Facebook, PM

2. Instagram, PM

3. YouTube (personal is ok).  Provide the link to Ballzybaits.

5. Rules for Catch Validity

Only Largemouth, Smallmouth, or Spotted Bass qualify.

The fish must be legally caught in public waters following all state/local fishing laws.

Only the Gryphon Swimbait may be used for the submission to be considered.

The weight recorded on the digital scale is final.

6. Winner Determination & Prize

In case of a tie, the earliest submission (timestamp of video submission) will be the tiebreaker.

7. Payout & Prize Distribution

There will be 2 categories:

1. 6" Gryphon Swimbait prize: $175

​2. 8" Gryphon Swimbait prize: $325

 

The winner will be announced within 24 hours after the tournament ends on BBGT Social media (i.e. Facebook)

The payout will be sent via PayPal or Venmo. If you are local to Sacramento or Fresno, you can arrange to meet at an authorized store to receive your payout in person. All payouts will be processed within three days, no later than June 3, 2025.

8. Disqualifications & Violations

Edited videos, missing footage, or tampered scales will lead to immediate disqualification (upon discretion of the BBGT staff review of the video).

Any cheating, rule violations, or unsportsmanlike conduct results in disqualification and an automatic ban from future tournaments.

Failure to use the Gryphon Swimbait in the video submission voids the catch.

 

9. Promotional Rights & Media Usage

By entering the tournament, the participant agrees to allow BBGT to use their videos for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media platforms, advertising, and future tournament promotions.

Participants retain personal rights to their content but grant BBGT permission to share and showcase their submitted videos.

10. Final Decision & Dispute Resolution

The officials’ decision is final. No appeals or disputes regarding weight, catch validity, or rule enforcement will be accepted.

Tournament organizers have the final authority on all rule interpretations and decisions.

11. Miscellaneous

Participants must follow all state and local fishing regulations.

Tournament organizers reserve the right to modify or clarify rules as needed to ensure fairness.
